sand box welcomes pets!
the cooler your pet, the more we like you.
Sand Box is a pet-friendly park and will remain so as long as your pet is friendly right back. We have a designated pet-friendly, fenced and grassy area of the park you are welcome to let your pet run free in at your own discretion and risk (sand box assumes no responsibility for your pet while on property).
If your pet causes an issue with either people or other pets, it’s not actually friendly and will be asked to be leashed, then, upon another incident, kindly asked to leave.
Please don’t leave your pet tied up to howl, bark or cry unattended, disturbing other campers - this is considered also super unfriendly. If you’re going to do that, probs just don’t bring your pet.
If your pet poops somewhere, that’s fine, we get it. Our pets poop too. Just be sure you’re watching when they wander around and you’re conscious of what you need to pick up. If you don’t, your pet can stay, but then you’ll be the one asked to leave.
Just be a good person, with cool pets that are nice, clean up after them, and be conscious of what they’re doing when you’re not looking - so we can all continue to enjoy our 4 legged friends in the great outdoors.
If you have a super cool pet, please bring him/her to the office so we can meet them. We’ll have pet-friendly riding gear so they can enjoy their time at the dunes too.
